Emerald Luxury: A Fusion of Natural Stone and Modern Arches

Ganesh Row House is a bold exploration of Modern Eclecticism, where luxury is defined by high-contrast materials and bespoke architectural insertions. Located in the bustling residential hub of Sarthana, Surat, this row house was redesigned to break the monotony of standard urban layouts, introducing a sense of “Grandeur in Detail.”

The design narrative is anchored by a stunning Emerald Marble focal wall in the living area, which serves as a natural masterpiece. We balanced this bold stone texture with soft, arched geometry and warm wooden partitions. The project showcases how contrasting elements-like cool marble, warm oak, and teal metallic accents-can coexist to create a space that is both high-energy for social gatherings and deeply comforting for private life.

Challenges

The most difficult aspect of the Ganesh Row House was balancing “Heavy” materials within a medium-sized floor plan. Using deep-colored marble and dark wood can often make a room feel smaller or visually “heavy.”

Our challenge was to calibrate the lighting and the surrounding white-space so that the emerald marble felt like a luxurious highlight rather than an overwhelming presence.

our approach

The design narrative for the Ganesh Row House is centered on the concept of “Curated Contrasts,” where raw natural elements are polished into a sophisticated modern language. We moved away from a strictly neutral palette to embrace a more courageous mix of deep emerald marble, rich wood grains, and metallic teal accents.

By integrating soft, arched geometry into the structural cabinetry, we softened the linear “box-like” feel common in row house layouts.
